I bought two more today to add to the never-ending stash. Stationery shops, please don't let me into your shops. I haven't even been to the Dussmann Culture Department Store in Berlin yet. I will be charged for extra luggage on my way back home.

Notebook shops should ban me because I am giving them far too much money. I have several notebooks on the go at any given time, same with reading books. #notebookaddict 🫣😂

I have a similar problem too Coco! I have so many on the go in various bags, on my desk, by the bed that when I then want to actually find a note I have to trawl through all - it's usually a useful creative process though!

I keep a notebook. A5 size or thereabouts. Black cover often. But not always. Lined pages. Never blank. In the front, it's a journal. Usually a dumping ground and a lot of bitching and moaning. Then, sometimes, I can break through to write something worthwhile. Sometimes, I try out ideas for a writing project. I would like to write every day but don't always. In the back, I keep notes. So, for example, making notes from a talk I'm watching on Zoom. When the front meets the back, and the pages are filled, I start a new notebook. Oh, yes, I write with an old fountain pen or a newish black KawecoSport. Black or blue ink.

Bitching and moaning is vital I think, I heard someone (I think Julia Cameron or one of her fans?) describe it as the mental equivalent of taking a shower - necessary in order to be able to do the next (more interesting) thing. I realise I sounded a bit harsh against fountain pens above! Actually I think they are good in being more sustainable as well as appealing in being a older/more attractive than than say a Bic!
