I love a soundbite. Here are some I’ve overheard in recent weeks. My life is largely split between South London (near Brixton) where I live, and West London (Hammersmith, Chelsea, Mayfair) where I (mostly) work (as an English tutor), these are a mix of overheard phrases and sentences from both sides of the river. I decided not to include who said what/where, I wonder if it’s obvious from the sentence themes and fixations? Please comment below where you think the phrases came from: South or West? (Not to be confused with festival South by South west, or indeed Kanye’s kid North West.) More soundbites, AKA street poetry, can be enjoyed here.
As always thank you for reading, subscribing, liking, and sharing.
Love,
Emma

You already had your temper on the loose.
But is is digitalis or foxgloves?
I just discovered I’m allergic to yuzu.
No one cat eat three packs of Takis and not feel the spice effect.
That’s the old one-two punch, my friend.
He openly talks about his todger.
It takes me fourteen drinks to be properly smashed. Can’t lie I know how to handle the cocaine but I lost four hours.
I just want some weed that's not medicinal for fuck's sake.
